Earth Keepers receives the environmental prize at RIFF
Earth Keepers, by filmmaker Sylvie van Brabant, is a powerful documentary about eco-activism and its vital role in today’s global community. Brabant’s documentary goes straight to the heart of the matter highlighting not only the needs but also the possibilities for change already available.
Following the film’s proponent, Mikael Rioux, as he travels around the world, we learn about concrete solutions to the ecological catastrophes we are heading for. Visionaries, scientists, activists, environmental designers, whom Mikael meets with, are increasingly pooling their knowledge and resources to act locally for a global concern. The narration of the documentary is concise and well structured, supported by powerful graphics and cinematic techniques.
Earth Keepers fosters hope for the future.
