Laundering
Good organisation makes laundering a much easier job to do. Everyone in the family should partake in it in some way, at least when laundering one’s own clothes. It creates a feeling of responsibility and increases the self-esteem of children, when they are allowed to help and when the kid knows where the clothing should be stored. Washing alone (if only one person has all the responsibility) for a whole household can be extremely tiresome.
The best procedure is to collect all clean laundry in one place in the home and dirty laundry should find its way directly to the laundry basket. Since there are many chores associated with the job of cleaning clothes, eg. sorting, hanging, sorting again, ironing and distribution, it is important to have the right height when considering tables, washing machines etc. Good laundry facilities in the home can be a great benefit. The clothes have to be put into the closet and it is good to do some stretching exercises while putting the clothes in drawers and cabinets.
